Nurse Aide I Day Program
The Nurse Aide I Training Course is being offered as a sixteen (16) week in-person class with a classroom, lab, and clinical component. This continuing education department class is limited to the first 10 eligible students. Students will be required to have access to a computer that supports the required programs and internet access.
This course includes the basic nursing skills required to provide safe, comptent personal care for individuals. Empahsis is placed on person centered care, the aging process, safety, care of the elderly during emergencies, legal and ethical issues, communication, infection prevention, vital signs, height and weight measurements, elimination, nutirition, basic restorative care, rehabilitation, demntia, mental health and end of life care. Upon successful completion, students will be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills for the entry level practice of the Nurse Aide I. Students will be eligible to test for listing on the North Carolina Nurse Aide I Registry by successful completion of the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program administered by the North Carolina State testing agency.

Location of Class: Building 17 Room 109
Cost: Tuiton and Fees $275.80 + Textbooks approximately $50.00-NA I manual with student study guide located at the MTCC Bookstore.
Last day to register, provide and meet eligibility documentation and pay tuition: Friday, January 3, 2025.
