


Core: Intro to Basic Construction Skills
Core: Intro to Basic Construction Skills/OSHA 10-HR Construction Card prepares individuals for entry-level positions on project sites by providing the basics in safety, hand and power tools, construction math, materials handling, construction drawings, rigging, and employability skills.
The Construction Trades Academy operates on an 80/20 layout, which is 80% hands-on training and 20% review & testing. At Mcdowell Tech we believe that hands-on training is the best way to learn a trade and we provide our students with numerous opportunities to work and learn.

Total Hours: 84
Days: Monday-Thursday Face to Face
Time: 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Total Hours Face-to-Face Weekly: 4 hours
Weekly Online Time: 3 hours
Total Weekly Hours: 7 hours
Location: Universal Advanced Manufacturing Building Classroom 120
Cost: $260.30 (TUITION MUST BE PAID PRIOR TO THE START OF CLASS)

Students enrolled in Construction Trades Academy can apply for all of the scholarships at the link below. Scholarships will be awarded based on financial need. Scholarship funds are limited and not everyone will be approved for a scholarship.
